HFP Ecosystem
IAS and Leonardo, together since 2009.
HFP, born more than ten years ago with the Operations module, has served as a pioneer for the subsequent integrations of modules, such as Training and Maintenance, revolutionizing the management of flight activities. Initially conceived to operate on every front of flight, its development has mainly focused on mobile technology, with the goal of making flight-related processes more flexible and immediate through apps. Its main goal has been to guide the digitalization not only of processes but also of regulatory documentation.
HFP is closely integrated with the EATL app, creating a complete ecosystem for the efficient and safe management of aerial operations.
A connected world.

How HFP modules collaborate.
HFP is now a complete and consolidated product. It has reached levels of completeness, reliability, comprehensiveness, and robustness that make it a fundamental and indispensable tool for Training, meaning for the entire organization, the offer, and the delivery of services provided by the Training Academy of Leonardo Helicopters. In fact, it is used by thousands of users every day, on a global scale.
In addition to the vast range of functions available (course planning, instructor management, assets, etc.), and the daily interface of countless operators, HFP is continually evolving, both in terms of expanding functionality (increasingly more processes, even those traditionally managed via "paper", are becoming digitalized and thus integrated into HFP) and technologically.
Training is supported by the Operations and Maintenance-Production modules, which together create an integrated and highly efficient ecosystem. The Operations module handles the daily management of flights, ensuring all operations are carried out safely and coordinated. On the other hand, the Maintenance-Production module ensures all helicopters are kept in optimal condition, minimizing downtime and improving overall safety. Together, these modules provide a comprehensive solution covering all aspects of training management, flight operations, and maintenance.
e-ATL
The logbook at your fingertips.
e-ATL
The logbook at your fingertips.
e-ATL was created in 2019 with a clear goal: to digitalize the Aircraft Technical Logbook and all documentation related to flight operations. Our focus has been on ease of use for pilots, technicians, and other stakeholders thanks to our cutting-edge mobile technology.
e-ATL is already in operational use and currently in the certification phase. Looking to the future, we are planning a series of evolutions to make it a strategic tool integrated with Leonardo's processes. We aim beyond flight operations and production, also targeting experimentation and the geographic expansion of its uses.
Additionally, we are considering additional functionalities such as fuel supply management, project cost control and legal communications with the Customs Agency. e-ATL was not created as an application, but with the perspective of becoming a cornerstone for efficiency and integration in the aviation sector.
LHD INSTRUCTORS
Training beyond borders.
LHD INSTRUCTORS
Training beyond borders.
The advent of this innovative application dates back to 2020, and today it represents a fundamental pillar in personnel training processes. However, given its growing effectiveness and untapped potential, we are already planning further developments for the future.
It started as the first implementation of the Data Driving concept, which involves driving the process based on real-time collected information. In training, this translates to Evidence Based Training: the exam program adapts in real time to the results obtained by the students. The application has been adopted by Leonardo's instructor staff, becoming a reliable reference point for managing various processes.
In the last year, we have further developed features related to Artificial Intelligence, enabling more sophisticated management of training and exam activities, with models simulating real-life situations.
And we are not stopping here: we are already working on future developments for 2024
